Job Description:

Assists the Team Leader in daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance and special projects. Leads and develops Team Members. Provides courteous and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times. Performs duties in accordance with team and store Standard Operating Procedures. Supports WFM core values and goals, promotes national and store programs, and adheres to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains store layout and product merchandising.
  
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
  
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales and labor.
  
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures all paperwork is properly submitted.
  
• Functions as point person in absence of Team Leader.
  
• Encourages positive teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs.
  
• Selects, trains, and develops Team Members.

    Experience:
    
    • 
      
    • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
      
      
      Physical Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • Lifts 50 pounds.
        
      • Stands/walks 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
        
      • Uses hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
        
      • Motions include bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
        
      • Exposed to cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
        
      • Works in wet and dry conditions and uses tools and equipment.
